There are foodies (people who love food), birdies (uh, birds and I think it's a golf term) and now on my blog I am introducing Wordies©! What/Who is a Wordie? Anyone with a passion to write, and anyone who loves the written word. Even if you don't write but love a good word puzzle, you can be a Wordie.
The Wordie© Contest is a poetry contest in which a Wordie writes a poem using a featured word as the main theme.
Just post your poems here, with a link to your blog (either the post where the poem is, or just your blog yourself), by the 10th of every month. Comment on submissions - friendly comments or positive criticism only! The ones with the most comments will be compiled into a poll by the 15th of the month; voting will take place between the 15th and 20th of the month. The winner gets bragging rights, his or her blog will have a permanent link on my blogroll here, and can suggest the word for the next month.
